There is one thing that everyone owns, but no one talks about it… it’s the circus mirror. You know, the mirror that makes everything look warped and different. It’s the mirror that can make the skinny girl look fat. It’s the mirror that can make the over weight girl look even wider and the more she stares- the wider she gets. The mirror that can make the back of anyone’s legs look like they were taken over by a hail storm. We all have that mirror and the longer we choose to stare- the worse our reflection can look.
I have the same mirror in my house. I can swear sometimes my mirror makes my stretch marks look like something out of a comic book. And there are times if I turn sideways, my mirror makes me question if I am unknowingly expecting a fourth child.
There is good news though… this mirror only exists if you allow it to, because it actually only exists in your head. Instead of standing in front of the mirror and distorting it with your own mind- take a second to notice the parts of you that you do like. We all were born with qualities that make us unique and beautiful… we aren’t meant to be perfect and I can promise you the perfect mirror doesn’t exist; not even in the minds of those that pretend to have it. If you can’t change what you see, then change the way you think ♥

My gramma took my leftovers from last night for her lunch today..
That bitch. It was lobster salad!
And since there’s hardly any gluten free food here, I had yogurt and Kind granola with chia seeds for lunch.

Just posting because I saw this (on Pinterest, of course) and it really spoke to me. Yesterday was a rough day and I needed these words of encouragement. It’s funny how God knows where to plug His words to reach you.
